Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (125 mL)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (50 mL)
  • granulated sugar substitute to equal 1/2 cup (125 mL) sugar
  • 1 egg (1)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (250 mL)
  • 3 tbsp HERSHEY'S Cocoa (45 mL)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (2 mL)
  • 1/8 tsp salt (0.5 mL)
  • 2 tbsp skim milk (30 mL)
  • 1/3 cup CHIPITS Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips (75 mL)
Reduced-Sugar Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. Beat butter, sugar and sugar substitute in medium bowl until well blended. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in mini chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or just until set. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
  • Makes 36 cookies.
