
REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Candy originated in the 1920's when the H.B. Reese Candy Company, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, began producing this unique cup-shaped combination of peanut butter and chocolate.
In the 1930's, REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Candy were sold in the US for a penny a piece. Production continued through World War II and the product was considered to be a treat that "both the young and old alike can eat and enjoy..."
By the mid-1950's, sales of REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Candy had grown to the point where a larger manufacturing facility was required. A 100,000 square foot facility was built along Chocolate Avenue in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
In 1963, the H.B. Reese Candy Company Inc. was purchased by the Hershey Chocolate Company, currently known as The Hershey Company.
REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Candy were launched into Canada in 1969. REESE Crunchy PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Candy were launched in 1978. Both have been Canadian favourites ever since!
